For some time now modern business has a very dominant and reliable growing industry in new technologies, Google, who has been at the forefront of some of the most impressive change, is a market leader when it comes to growth with the technology sector. So lets see what this mega company has branch into now, and how this topic area can apply to business studies.
According to ZDNet Australia, Yesterday marked the launch for Google's local versions of its popular Google News service, which aggregates news stories from 4,500 sources worldwide, in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Canada. The Australian version, is still in its beta stage (in working development). The Google News Service uses the same search algorithm as the Google search page, with local news sites and local stories prioritised for the individual markets. The Google News sites are not designed to generate revenue, and currently contain no advertising, however sources claim that option has been left open for the introduction at a later date.
While this article contains the use of a media release from Google as a company, it is implied that Google may draw on news and information from various other sources such as (but not limited to) reuters.com, cnn.com and many other services. All major news networks will draw on material from other sources, acting as intermediaries in the delivery of news information.
